Chicago dawg

If Chicagoans like their pizza, they LOVE their 'dawgs' as they locally call their hot dogs, when prepared Chicago-style. That's probably the only hot dog your doctor would approve. Why? Because comes with a almost 2 full servings of veggies... IN the bun.

Here's the recipe for a Chicago dawg. Use a soft poppyseed bun, all beef frank... so far, you're not too confused. But here's comes the list of toppings for a dawg... yellow regular mustard, sweet relish, chopped onions, two tomato wedges, a large piece of dill pickle, two small hot peppers and a bit of celery salt.

Do NOT put ketchup... it's considered a crime to do so in Chicago. I don't think anyone ever spent time in jail for that... but many customers saw their order cancelled when they mentioned they wanted ketchup.

On top, you have the one I had for supper at the best dawg restaurant in Chicago. Below, you have the one I ate for lunch in front of my favorite object in Chicago. Can't be more Chicago-style than that.
